Nashville, Tenn., (January 27, 2011) – Matthew M. Curley, a Member of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC, has been appointed Co-Chair of the Class Actions Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section’s Commercial and Business Litigation Committee. The Litigation Section is the largest specialty section of the American Bar Association.

Curley focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial, securities and class action litigation and the representation of clients in connection with internal and governmental investigations. He also coordinates the firm’s participation in the pro bono representation of veterans of the United States Armed Forces in coordination with the National Veteran’s Legal Services Program’s Lawyers Serving Warriors project.

The American Bar Association’s Litigation Section is dedicated to helping litigators become more effective advocates for their clients. The Commercial and Business Litigation Committee focuses on issues facing litigators with broad commercial practices, including substantive areas such as bankruptcy, creditors rights, professional liability, and trade secret law, and procedural matters such as e-discovery, privilege, ADR, and international litigation.
