Jessie Zeigler, chair of the Products Liability & Torts Practice at Bass, Berry & Sims, was recognized in the 2022 edition of Expert Guides: Women in Business Law in the Product Liability category. This is the second year Jessie has been recognized by the outlet in this category.

Expert Guides identifies the world’s leading lawyers, advisers and legal practitioners based on extensive peer review. The 2022 guide lists the world’s top female practitioners across 90 jurisdictions in 32 practice areas and this year reached out to more individuals than ever before. For the 12th edition, Expert Guides surveyed more than 10,000 practitioners and recognized 3,983 female leaders who appear in the 2022 edition.

Also recognized by Chambers and Benchmark Litigation as a leader in the field, Jessie leads a cross-office team in representing clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to privately-owned companies in high-stakes products and environmental cases. She recently served as counsel in a precedent-setting opioid litigation, defending an international pharmaceutical company in court rooms across Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia. Jessie successfully obtained summary judgment in nine consolidated cases on behalf of a tree company against allegations of negligence and nuisance in wildfire litigation in which the plaintiffs sought approximately $45 million in claims. She argued the first-ever Tennessee Supreme Court Zoom hearing, securing a major victory for a product manufacturer. Jessie currently serves on the board of directors for International Association of Defense Counsel and leads the women’s group at the Trial Network. More about Jessie’s practice can be found here.
