Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Gil Uhlhorn has been named a member of the Greater Memphis Chamber Chairman’s Circle. The Chairman’s Circle is a group of over 100 visionary, civic-minded local business leaders committed to moving Memphis forward, creating both greater economic prosperity and improving quality of life throughout the region.
Gil is a long-standing member of the Memphis community, a partner in the commercial real estate and finance group at Bass, Berry & Sims and also currently serves as managing partner of the firm’s Memphis office. Gil has been a part of several revitalization, expansion and community-centric projects that have helped to advance the greater Memphis community. In his profile published on the Memphis Chamber’s website, Gil described his legal practice as “real estate heavy,” and stated “what’s great about Bass, Berry & Sims is the firm’s involvement in seminal projects which have been transformational for Memphis,” most notably the Crosstown Concourse.
In his profile, Gil also highlighted the firm’s community involvement and stated, “public service is an important part of who we are as a firm at Bass, Berry & Sims. In 2020, attorneys in our Memphis office invested an average of 50 hours of pro bono support to strengthen families, empower communities and protect civil rights.” He also referenced the Memphis office’s recent partnership with the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law to provide a diversity scholarship designed to grow and strengthen a diverse local legal community.
