Nashville, Tenn., (March 28, 2019) – Bass, Berry & Sims is proud to announce that, for the second year in a row, it received a perfect score of 100 on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. In 2019, more than 560 major U.S. businesses earned top marks this year in recognition of a company’s policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. Bass, Berry & Sims was one of only two Nashville-based companies to receive a 100 percent ranking and was one of only four companies headquartered in Tennessee included in the list that received a perfect score.

The 2019 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Bass, Berry & Sims’ efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
