Emily was chosen for inclusion on the list following her recent appointment as leader of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice. As lead of the newly established AI practice, Emily’s practice has a particular emphasis on negotiating agreements for the license and implementation of new AI tools and services, advising on the unique contractual and regulatory considerations at hand and crafting appropriate terms to allocate risk. In addition to AI, Emily regularly oversees significant intellectual property due diligence evaluations in the context of acquisitions of technology-focused companies and prepares and negotiates intellectual property and technology agreements in spin-outs and other acquisition transactions.
