Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Danielle Sloane provided comment for two articles related to CMS’ proposed changes related to physician fee schedule rule. The new regulations could provide exceptions to the Stark law and rules related to the financial relationships between physicians and providers. According to Danielle, “‘[b]y in large, it [the proposed changes]makes significant changes and clarifications aimed at easing the technical burdens of the Stark law and reducing the number of self-disclosures coming to the CMS.'”
