Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Danielle Sloane provided insight on the Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) newly released resource document offering guidance on how to measure the effectiveness of healthcare compliance plans. As Danielle points out in the article, “The OIG isn’t dictating any specific approaches to compliance reviews through the new guide, but giving organizations a wide variety of ideas that they can select from, depending on their size and function … The guide’s release increases the expectations that all healthcare organizations should be taking steps to support their compliance programs.”
