Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Danielle Sloane discussed the House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee’s review of Medicare fraud-fighting efforts in light of the July 2017 operation that charged 412 individuals with improperly billing Medicare and Medicaid $1.3 billion. As Danielle points out, the “fraud take-down July 13 and the hearing announcement send a clear message that the government is still very focused on health-care fraud and abuse matters and is willing to devote time and resources to the matter.”
