Bass, Berry & Sims is pleased to announce that Blaine H. Smith was admitted as a Fellow in the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a national organization of approximately 2,600 lawyers elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. Membership in ACTEC is by election of the regents of the College. Individual lawyers meeting the criteria for membership are nominated for membership by Fellows of the College, and subjected to careful review by both state and national membership selection committees. Blaine is one of only 41 ACTEC Fellows in the state of Tennessee.
For more than a decade, Blaine has represented individuals in trust and estate planning and estate administration. He also has extensive probate and fiduciary litigation experience representing trustees, executors and beneficiaries in estate and trust related disputes.
