This survey examines trends and developments in securities and shareholder litigation during 2013, at both the U.S. Supreme Court level and within the jurisdiction of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, which covers Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan.
2013 was a busy and successful year for Bass, Berry & Sims’ Securities and Shareholder Litigation Group. Our team spent the year defending lawsuits challenging mergers and other corporate control transactions, derivative litigation claiming breaches of fiduciary duty by directors, and class action lawsuits brought under federal and state securities laws, as well as ERISA.
