The Ms. Cheap Penny Drive benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee kicked off on November 1, 2015. This is the seventh year that businesses, schools, clubs and churches in the area have collected loose change to fight hunger. Ms. Cheap, aka columnist Mary Hance with The Tennessean, wrote an article about this year’s campaign and acknowledged some of last year’s contributors. In the article, Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Cindy Reisz was quoted about the firm’s 2014 fundraising efforts, “‘[w]e were able to raise enough money to fund almost 5,600 meals. As the penny drive shows us, sometimes even small donations can make a big difference.'” The firm will again participate in the Penny Drive this year.
