Nashville, Tenn., (July 23, 2013) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC is pleased to welcome five new associates to the firm’s Nashville office: Emily A. Burrows, Kiel A. Fisher, Caroline W. Kirk, Sydney R. Nash and Kelly L. Padgett.
Emily A. Burrows focuses her practice on intellectual property law. She advises clients related to technology-based transactions and the management of trademark portfolios. Prior to joining the firm, Burrows practiced at the Ryan Law Firm, LLP in Austin, Texas. She earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and received her B.S. in economics and human and organizational development (HOD) from Vanderbilt University.
Kiel A. Fisher joins the firm’s Litigation practice. Prior to joining the firm, Fisher earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School and received a B.A. in political science from the University of San Diego.
Caroline W. Kirk focuses her practice on corporate and securities law and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm, Kirk practiced in the New York office of Baker & McKenzie LLP. She received her law degree from the University of Kentucky and her B.S. in accounting and business administration from Washington and Lee University.
Sydney R. Nash focuses her practice on healthcare law advising clients on regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. Prior to joining the firm, Nash practiced law in the New York office of Ropes & Gray. Sydney earned her law degree from New York University School of Law and received a B.A. in public policy from New College of Florida.
Kelly L. Padgett focuses her practice on labor and employment law advising clients in the areas of wage and hour law and with issues related to hiring, disciplining and terminating employees. Prior to joining the firm, Padgett practiced at Winston & Strawn LLP in Charlotte, North Carolina. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and received a B.A. in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina.
