Memphis, Tenn., (October 3, 2011) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC is pleased to announce that Memphis attorney John Golwen has been designated by the Tennessee Supreme Court Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution as a Rule 31 General Civil Mediator. As a trained civil mediator, Golwen will be available to mediate cases throughout Tennessee. The Tennessee Supreme Court requires that individuals receive 40 hours of training before being designated as a general civil mediator in Tennessee.

Golwen has represented both companies and individuals in a wide variety of business and commercial litigation matters for more than 20 years in Memphis and throughout the region. He has extensive experience handling contract actions, business torts, shareholder disputes, business divorces, class actions, products liability, trade secrets, real estate matters, loan repurchase litigation, partnership disputes, and securities cases. “In the role of a mediator, I look forward to assisting parties engaged in various types of litigation,” says Golwen.
