Tell us about your practice.
Government contracts is a multidisciplinary, “regulatory” practice. We litigate, advise on transactions, help negotiate contracts, and most importantly, counsel on the myriad of rules and regulations that impact government contractors. We pride ourselves on being “subject matter experts” and often team up with other members of the firm on projects, including M&A, litigation and investigations.
What is an interesting trend happening right now related to your field of practice?
Decrease in government expenditures is actually leading to more work in our practice area – increase in bid protests and litigation, consolidation and merging of government contractors, and government contractors continue to be the federal government’s guinea pig in terms of regulatory oversight and enforcement.
What is the most fulfilling part of your job?
