Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Anna Grizzle wrote a guest post for The Compliance & Ethics Blog about how data analytics are helping the OIG’s enforcement efforts. As Anna points out in the blog, “analytics help enforcement agencies better identify targets and determine if past enforcement actions accomplish the goal of deterrence.” Later in the post, Anna provides some guidance on how providers can use the data proactively, such as “conducting their own analytics to identify any potential aberrations and correct identified problems.”
