We served as healthcare regulatory counsel for Cogent Healthcare in its agreement to be acquired by Fresenius’ Washington State-based Sound Physicians Inc.
Sound Physicians is a leading hospitalist and post-acute care organization with more than 1,100 hospitalist and post-acute providers caring for patients in more than 100 hospitals and post-acute centers. Cogent Healthcare has more than 650 providers who deliver hospitalist and intensivist services to more than 80 hospitals throughout the United States.
The deal closed in December 2014. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
