We represented Rivals.com in its sale to Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ GS: YHOO) in a private transaction that provides liquidity for Rivals.com’s stockholders. This acquisition expands Yahoo! Sports’ community offerings by strengthening its coverage of national sports stories and adding coverage of locally driven open publishing networks, something that Yahoo! had not previously offered to its sports audience. We are a longtime business partner of Rivals.com and have represented them throughout the years in the areas of securities, corporate, intellectual property and operational matters.
Rivals.com is a leading high school and college sports website. With a primary focus on football and basketball, Rivals.com runs a network of more than 150 separate websites that attracts approximately 2 million fans per month.
