We were engaged to conduct a highly confidential internal investigation relating to possible misconduct by a shareholder/physician in a physician practice group. A member of our labor team led the extensive investigation that related to possible discrimination/harassment/retaliation issues, potential HIPAA issues, privacy concerns, and social networking complications. At the conclusion of the investigation, our team conducted the closing interviews, including the termination interviews with several employees involved, including the shareholder/physician. Despite the extensive issues involved, no litigation resulted from the incidents.
