Bass, Berry & Sims attorneys Lillian Blackshear, Jeff Oldham and Betsy Knotts will present a session titled “Trending Topics in Municipal Finance Law” at the Tennessee Municipal Attorneys Association Winter Seminar on February 27, 2025, in Brentwood, Tennessee. This one-hour session will cover key issues in municipal finance, including municipal bond disclosure from local counsel’s perspective, tax increment financing and property tax abatement and special assessment districts. The two-day conference, held on February 27–28, 2025, will bring municipal attorneys together to discuss a range of topics, including trial practice strategies, the home rule amendment to the Tennessee Constitution, workplace investigations, recent case law updates and ethical considerations in municipal law.
