Elena Mosby represents clients in complex litigation, internal and government investigations, and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on white collar defense and healthcare fraud. She advises healthcare providers, physicians, and businesses on risk management and compliance issues and guides clients through all phases of litigation, from investigation through trial and resolution.
Earlier in her career, Elena worked with the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division’s Fraud Section (Health Care Fraud Unit), where she supported complex, nationwide healthcare fraud investigations and prosecutions. In that role, she assisted prosecutors and federal agents, coordinated with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices across the country, and provided in-court support during multiple federal jury trials.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Elena was an associate at Burch, Porter & Johnson, PLLC, in its Memphis office. After law school she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Rhesa H. Barksdale of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and for the Honorable Judge Kristi H. Johnson of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Mississippi. Elena received her law degree from the University of Mississippi Law School and her undergraduate degree in political science from Rhodes College.
