We represent a leading specialty building materials distributor headquartered in California in a lawsuit involving breach of non-compete/non-solicit covenants that was filed when a former employee left to work for a competitor. The case was originally argued in California, then transferred to the Middle District of Tennessee. We reached a favorable settlement on behalf of the client days prior to the hearing on the motion for preliminary injunction. Our client then sued the competing company in state court in Tennessee for its interference with the former employee’s restrictive covenants which remains ongoing.
