On December 1, 2016, Parker Hannifin Corporation and CLARCOR Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Parker will acquire CLARCOR for approximately $4.3 billion in cash, including the assumption of net debt. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of each company. Upon closing of the transaction, expected to be completed by or during the first quarter of Parker’s fiscal year 2018, CLARCOR will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group to form a leading and diverse global filtration business. Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Thad McBride will lead a pre-conference workshop at American Conference Institute's (ACI) "Canadian Forum On Economic Sanctions Compliance & Enforcement." Thad's working group is titled "The Fundamentals of Economic Sanctions: What Every Sanctions Professional in Canada Needs to Know About U.S. and Canadian Restrictions and Penalty Risks." This interactive working group is designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of both the U.S. and Canada's primary sanctions regimes including: Russia/Ukraine, Iran, Syria, Libya, Cuba, Venezuela and Myanmar. It will also provide a thorough synopsis of SDN lists, Anti-Terrorism, Drug Kingpin, and Cybersecurity sanctions.

Pre-conference workshops are scheduled for October 5, and the forum will be held October 6-7 at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto, Canada. For more information and registration, visit the ACI website
