Jordan Ross advises clients on a wide range of healthcare regulatory and transactional matters in addition to healthcare commercial contracts and contract disputes. She provides guidance related to:
- Healthcare Contracting, Regulatory & Operational – Counseling on healthcare contract administration and interpretation issues, contractor compliance with contract terms and conditions, healthcare privacy and security implications, and the legal aspects of solicitation preparation for healthcare services. She also drafts various contracts for strategic healthcare transactions (e.g., pharmacy benefit service agreements, settlement agreements, contract amendments, and business associate agreements).
- Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) – Working with clients on pharmacy benefit issues, such as health plan segmentation and/or restructuring of pharmacy benefit programs. In addition, she represents clients in the procurement, negotiation, drafting, and administration of complex contracts, specifically PBM contracts for commercial and government-sponsored healthcare programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Healthcare Compliance – Advising on compliance with state and federal healthcare laws, including HIPAA, HITECH, Medicare, the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, Medicaid, state-specific prior authorization requirements, and other government programs.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims Jordan was an associate at Wiley Rein, LLP in its Washington, D.C. office and at Gray Robinson, PA in its Gainesville, Florida, office. Jordan earned a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Health Law, and an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Florida. During law school, she served as a legal intern with both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Public Health Law Program and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
