As Director of Client Value at Bass, Berry & Sims, Tracy Paden is responsible for overseeing and advancing the firm’s capabilities in project management, client/matter pricing and budgeting and process improvement. Tracy works directly with firm lawyers and clients to enhance the client experience and drive the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
Prior to her Client Value role, Tracy served as Managing Director for several of the firm’s transactional practice groups where she was responsible for overall practice group management with a focus on legal operations, marketing and business development, client service, and attorney development and retention.
Having spent her entire career in the professional services field, Tracy understands how to best bring value and make an impact in this setting. Tracy started her career in the legal industry at Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry, PLC (now Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP), eventually serving as Chief Marketing Officer. She also worked as a marketing manager for Pillsbury Winthrop LLP (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP) in New York City; and ran an independent consulting practice providing marketing and business development strategy and implementation services to professional services businesses with a particular focus on the legal profession. Immediately prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Tracy served as the Director of Marketing for Avondale Partners, a Nashville-based boutique investment banking firm.
Tracy has a Legal Lean Sigma® and Project Management White Belt Certification and a Legal Project Management Training Certification from Law Vision’s LPM Institute. She is a member of the True Value Partnering Institute, LawVision’s Legal Project Management Roundtable and the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC). She served a six-year term on the board of Our Kids, a nonprofit organization providing expert medical evaluations and crisis counseling services in response to concerns of child sexual abuse across Middle Tennessee. She received her B.S. in public relations and marketing from Middle Tennessee State University.
