Stephanie O’Hara has more than 15 years of experience providing counsel to governmental entities, municipal officials, and public agencies. She advises clients related to governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, ordinance drafting, and strategic advisory work.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Stephanie worked at the University of Tennessee’s Municipal Technical Advisory Service, where she provided counsel to Tennessee city attorneys, elected officials, and municipal staff on governance, regulatory, and compliance matters. In this role, she drafted, reviewed, and codified municipal charters, codes, ordinances, and resolutions to ensure consistency with state and federal law. Stephanie earned a law degree, Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. After law school, she served as a judicial clerk with Justice Sharon G. Lee at the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
