Arthur Cook is the Chief Risk Management Officer at Bass, Berry & Sims. He provides firmwide leadership for the development and execution of the firm’s strategic risk management initiatives and related regulatory and risk functions. He oversees several departments within the firm – including conflicts, new business intake, research and information governance – driving responsible growth, operational excellence and client service.
Arthur previously served as Director of Conflicts & New Business Intake, where he engineered and led enterprise-level new business and risk assessment processes and advised firm leadership on complex risk matters affecting client engagement and firm operations. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, he worked at Hogan Lovells in roles focused on legal risk and business operations.
Before focusing on risk management, Arthur represented clients in various litigation matters and transactional real estate work. He is licensed in Kentucky and Tennessee.
He earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law and an undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University.
