For 10th Consecutive Year, Memphis-area Seniors at Orange Mound Senior Center Receive Free Legal Services from Coalition of Top Community Legal Professionals
Memphis, Tenn., July 27, 2018 – AutoZone and Bass, Berry & Sims PLC, in conjunction with Memphis Area Legal Services, Inc. (MALS), hosted the 10th annual “Give a Little, Help a Lot” pro bono clinic at Orange Mound Senior Center on Wednesday, July 25. During the event, dozens of low-income senior citizens received free legal services from more than 20 attorneys, paralegals and interns representing the three organizations.
“We look forward to this day every year and the opportunity to engage with these seniors, understand their specific needs and offer essential legal guidance that they might not have received otherwise,” said Amber Hitchcock, Real Estate Managing Attorney, Customer Satisfaction, at AutoZone. “We are thankful for the decade-long collaboration with our partners from Bass, Berry & Sims and Memphis Area Legal Services, and we hope to continue to provide these important services to the amazing people at Orange Mound Senior Center for years to come.”

from 20 attorneys, paralegals and interns at the “Give a Little, Help a Lot” Legal Aid Clinic.
Each year since 2008, attorneys, paralegals and volunteers from MALS, AutoZone and Bass, Berry & Sims have joined together at the legal aid clinic to provide seniors with essential legal guidance and assist with the preparation of advance care plans, healthcare directives, durable power of attorney forms, as well as last wills and testaments.
“We have had hundreds of conversations with seniors over the past decade to advise them on the complex, and often daunting, legal challenges they may face related to healthcare, finances and estate planning,” said Sehrish Siddiqui, an attorney with Bass, Berry & Sims. “Our annual collaboration with AutoZone and Memphis Area Legal Services is always memorable and important, and we are grateful for the opportunity to once again help our fellow neighbors with these crucial matters.”
