1. What is one thing you would like everyone to know about Premise Health?

The first thing to know is what we do. Premise Health, created by the merger of CHS Health Services and Take Care Employer Solutions, is the nation’s leading patient engagement and onsite health organization. We partner with some of the world’s best companies to keep their people, and their families, at their best through programs that improve health outcomes for employers and their workforces.

The second thing to know is how we’re different. Our providers are conveniently located onsite or near employees’ workplaces, so they see patients regularly, get to know them as people and build trust. Our average appointment time is 30 minutes, which is the longest face-to-face appointment time in health care. This approach means that we have the opportunity not only to address patients’ health needs today but also to help them achieve long-term health goals. Over time, our programs help employees’ improve their health, while reducing and containing health care costs for their employers.

2. Tell us more about the mission of Premise Health and where you are headed as a company?

Our mission is to help people to get, stay and be well. We seek to empower patients to take charge of their own health and to give them the resources to do so, in order to help them – and their employers – keep their edge.

We believe this mission is even more important today than just a few years ago. The U.S. faces a health care access crisis. Over the last six years, 30 million people have been brought into our health care system – which already was under stress from an increase in chronic diseases and a lack of primary care physicians. When we partner with employers, we help them preserve access to quality care for their employees.

Ultimately, we are evolving to be a real-life model for transforming health care by increasing access and quality of care, improving the overall health of our communities and lowering spending. We know our approach works, and we are focused on expanding our reach to serve more patients.

3. What would employees say is the most rewarding part of working at Premise Health?

I think employees would say the opportunity to change the trajectory of patients’ – and their families – lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to help empower people to quit smoking, or to change their diets, knowing what an impact that will have on their futures.

Clinicians see that impact firsthand, but every team member at Premise contributes. We know that we have a chance to make a difference, and we want to make it count.

Premise Health: Keep your edge.
