Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Brant Phillips was quoted in a Nashville Post article that outlined the issues surrounding two competing Certificate of Need (CON) applications that have been filed by two large hospital systems to build freestanding emergency rooms in Brentwood, Tennessee. The hospital systems have opposed each other’s project. Brant spoke on market trends affecting large capital projects in the healthcare industry, as well as the criteria that the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency will use to evaluate the need for both projects.
