Bass, Berry & Sims is pleased to announce that Members Blaine Smith and Jessie Zeigler have been inducted as Fellows into the Nashville Bar Foundation.

The mission of the Nashville Bar Foundation is to support and expand the provision of law-related educational and charitable programs and services that promote the knowledge, understanding, and respect for the law among students, the general public and the legal community; to preserve the honor and integrity of the legal profession; to foster collegiality among members of the legal profession; and to improve the administration of justice throughout the greater Nashville area.

Smith focuses his trust and estate practice on representing high-net worth individuals with the transfer of their wealth to their children and future generations. He also has extensive probate and fiduciary litigation experience representing trustees, executors and beneficiaries in estate and trust related disputes. Smith has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® for his trusts and estates practice and is a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Nashville Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Probate Law Committees.

Zeigler devotes her litigation practice to help clients facing claims related to crisis management, environmental issues, health and safety matters, products liability, healthcare liability, or contract disputes. In addition, she has handled class action claims for various types of product and mass tort cases across a variety of industries. Zeigler has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® and was named a “Women of Influence” in the Trailblazer category by the Nashville Business Journal in 2015. Zeigler is active in the legal profession and currently holds leadership positions in the American Bar Association, International Association of Defense Counsel and Trial Network.
