Nashville, Tenn., (March 11, 2013) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC is pleased to welcome four new associates to the firm’s Nashville office: Sarah B. Krause, Stephanie A. Roth, Brittain W. Sexton, and Marcia N. Topiwala. In addition, the firm promoted Amanda Elliott Stanley from associate to of counsel.

Amanda Elliott Stanley has practiced with the firm since April 2005 in the Commercial Transactions and Real Estate Practice. She focuses her practice on asset-based financing, syndicated revolving credit and term loan facilities, subordinated loans, construction loans and work-outs. She earned a J.D. and M.P.H. from Emory University and a B.A. from Georgetown University.

Sarah B. Krause joins the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Krause was in-house employee benefits counsel at Amgen Inc. Krause earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University and received a B.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.

Stephanie A. Roth joins the Labor and Employment Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Roth practiced at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP. She received her law degree from Vanderbilt University. Roth earned a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and a B.A. in religion from Duke University.

Brittain W. Sexton joins the Litigation Practice. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. Sexton earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee and received a B.A. in English from Murray State University. During and after law school, Sexton served as law clerk for the Honorable J. Daniel Breen in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee (2008-2009) and for the Honorable Gary R. Wade in the Tennessee Supreme Court (2007-2008).

Marcia N. Topiwala joins the Corporate and Securities Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Topiwala practiced at Wyatt Tarrant & Combs LLP in Nashville. She received her law degree from Fordham University. Topiwala earned a B.A. in English from Wellesley College.
