Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Angela Humphreys was named to the 2025 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A list by Mergers & Acquisitions. The 2025 list marks the tenth year the outlet has featured the ranking to recognize the outstanding women who play key roles in dealmaking. In addition to their transaction achievements, honorees were also selected for their ability to foster innovation and make an impact within the larger M&A landscape and for their contributions to the advancement of women in private equity. Only 14 women were honored with inclusion on the list this year.

Angela serves as Chair of the firm’s nationally ranked Healthcare Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare Private Equity team. She has more than 20 years of experience working exclusively in the healthcare M&A space, providing strategic counsel on mergers and acquisitions to help clients navigate intricate regulatory landscapes. Within the past year, Angela has provided counsel on several key deals, including:

  1. The representation of Kinderhook Industries and its portfolio company, Rural Healthcare Group, in the acquisition of physician practice and network assets out of the Steward Healthcare bankruptcy.
  2. The representation of Collaborative Health Systems, LLC a subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) a leading provider of government-sponsored healthcare, in its sale of all outstanding membership interest to Astrana Health, Inc.
