Working with Corner to Corner and its entrepreneur program, The Academy, attorneys from Bass, Berry & Sims volunteered to provide nine entrepreneurs with legal counsel for one year. Through this partnership, our attorneys are serving in a general counsel capacity, advising the new business owners on a variety of issues related to business formation, funding, employment, and other matters. Some of these businesses supplement family income, while others are working to build a full-time enterprise. This work has a real impact on economic disparity: Small Business Administration statistics estimate the economic impact of The Academy at $3.4 million dollars annually.
