Bass, Berry & Sims served as lead counsel for a hospital ownership company in connection with a DOJ investigation regarding alleged FCA violations concerning U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Uninsured Program, which provided claims reimbursement to healthcare providers for testing uninsured individuals for COVID-19, among other things. Following its investigation, DOJ declined to intervene. Following declination, we obtained a dismissal with prejudice with respect to the relator’s claims on behalf of our client.
