Bass, Berry & Sims served as lead counsel to Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc. in its efforts to obtain a Certificate of Need (CON) to open a state-of-the-art opioid treatment program (OTP) facility in Cleveland, Tennessee. OTPs use medication-assisted treatment and therapeutic interventions to help individuals overcome their struggles with addiction and are considered the “gold standard” for addiction recovery. Despite opposition from other providers, the project was unanimously approved by state regulators.
