We served as lead counsel to Alere Women’s and Children’s Health LLC in its efforts to obtain a Certificate of Need (CON) to expand its existing homecare operations from 13 to 36 counties in and around metropolitan Chattanooga, Tennessee. The project received wide support – including from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – and was unanimously approved by state regulators. The expansion of Alere’s services into more rural areas in East Tennessee will dramatically improve access to critical maternal and fetal medicine services in the state.

Alere specializes in homecare services for high-risk obstetrical patients who are suffering from serious pregnancy-related conditions, including premature labor, gestational diabetes and hypertension.
