$9 Million Outpatient Diagnostic Center Approved for Leading Radiology Group

We served as lead counsel to Radiology Alliance – an affiliate of MEDNAX, Inc. – in its efforts to obtain a Certificate of Need (CON) to implement a new, state-of-the-art outpatient diagnostic imaging center in the fast-growing Antioch area of metropolitan Nashville, Tennessee. Despite simultaneous consideration of a competing application targeting the same service area, the Radiology Alliance project was unanimously approved by state regulators. The approved facility will be the first of its kind in the Antioch community, which is home to more than 100,000 residents and on pace to have a larger population than nearly 80% of Tennessee counties by 2022. The facility will provide a comprehensive array of MRI, CT, ultrasound and radiography/fluoroscopy services.

With more than 60 board-certified radiologists serving patients at dozens of hospital and outpatient facilities, Nashville-based Radiology Alliance is Tennessee’s largest radiology group. MEDNAX, Inc. (NYSE: MD) is a national health solutions partner based in Sunrise, Florida, and specializes in anesthesiology, neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, radiology and management services.
