Bass, Berry & Sims attorneys Angela Humphreys and Travis Lloyd will be presenting at the 2024 American Health Law Association’s (AHLA) Health Care Transactions Conference.
Angela will be co-presenting with Archana Rajendra from Henry Ford Health System-Health Alliance Plan, for a session titled “Payer/Provider Transactions.”
Travis will co-present with Caroline Reignley from McDermott Will & Emery, for a session titled “Site-Neutral Payment Policy Considerations in Healthcare Transactions.” The presentation will address the following:
- The current legal landscape, including recent payment, billing and coding changes regarding hospital outpatient clinic visits.
- Common site-neutral payment issues in hospital and health system development initiatives, including facility expansions and service mix changes.
- Recent legislative proposals that would impose additional site-neutral payment limitations on services provided in hospital outpatient departments.
- Best practices for evaluating site-neutral payment issues in transactions, including modeling financial impact, conducting due diligence review, and negotiating definitive agreements.
The conference will be held on April 15-17, 2024 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
