Bass, Berry & Sims member Bill Mathias will present at The American Health Law Association’s (AHLA) Health Care Transactions Conference. Bill will present during the session titled “Lightning Round – A Fraud and Abuse Due Diligence Game Show.” Bill, alongside co-speaker Matthew Westbrook, will use an advanced game-show format to explore how health care organizations and investors should respond to potentially non-compliant activity discovered in the course of due diligence.
Discussion Topics Include:
- Multiple hypothetical situations with suggested response tactics
- Additional hypothetical situations from the perspective of both the buyer and seller
- The details surrounding whether the hypothetical issues can be fixed and whether they need to be disclosed, or can be ignored
