Bass, Berry & Sims members Matt Curley, Anna Grizzle and Lisa Rivera will be speaking at the Healthcare Law & Compliance Institute sponsored by the International Practice Management Institute (IPMI). The Institute brings together healthcare general counsel and compliance officers of providers throughout the United States for robust discussions of the most challenging compliance and enforcement issues facing the healthcare industry.

Matt will be presenting in two panel discussions. The first titled “Critical Insights, Updates and Considerations in the Healthcare Law Landscape” in which Matt, alongside co-panelists Michelle Johnson (CommonSpirit Health), Eric Klein (Sheppard Mullin) and Leigh Oliver (Clifford Chance) will cover legal developments, regulatory challenges and strategic considerations impacting healthcare providers in a rapidly evolving industry.

Matt will also present alongside Anna Grizzle (Bass, Berry & Sims) and Paul Gilbert (Summit BHC) in the panel titled “Has the Dust Settled? Key Regulatory and Enforcement Developments Under the New Administration. This panel discusses key regulatory and enforcement developments under the new administration, offering insights into emerging trends and how healthcare organizations can adapt to shifting federal priorities. Anna will also be in attendance at the Healthcare Law & Compliance Institute taking place in March.

Lisa will present in the panel titled “Enterprise Risk and The Controlled Substances Act: Compliance Check Now for Your Response Later” alongside co-panelist Brian Six (Alto Pharmacy). This panel focuses on the intersection of enterprise risk management and compliance with the Controlled Substances Act, highlighting proactive measures and cross-functional collaboration needed to address increasing enforcement actions and organizational vulnerabilities.

The Healthcare Law & Compliance Institute will be held September 7-9, 2025, at The Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California.
