Bass, Berry & Sims is proud to announce that it has joined with more than 125 firms to form the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance. According to the organization’s charter, its mandate is to “leverage the resources of the private bar to amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism, to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color and to promote racial equity in the law and in government institutions.” Click here to see a full list of member firms as of June 24.

Pro bono work will play a key role in fulfilling the alliance’s charter. The alliance has partnered with the Racial Justice Institute and Racial Justice Network at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law to help with the endeavor.

“Bass, Berry & Sims is proud to partner with leading law firms across the country to remedy systemic racism in our communities and within the legal industry. We recognize there is much work to be done and are dedicated to using our pro bono work to create a more equitable society for all,” said David Esquivel, the firm’s Pro Bono Member.
