Tim Van Hal advises companies on corporate and transactional matters, including SEC filings, securities offerings, securities law compliance, shareholder activism and defense, corporate governance and compliance, mergers and acquisitions and strategic issues. Tim works primarily with publicly listed companies across a range of industries including financial services, healthcare, health services, manufacturing, asset liquidation, and online retailers.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Tim practiced at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of their U.S. Capital Markets team.

We represented West Virginia Mutual Insurance Company (WVMIC), the only member-owned medical liability insurance company in West Virginia, in its sale to MagMutual Insurance Company, one of the leading providers of medical professional liability insurance in the country. WVMIC will become MagMutual’s Mid-Eastern Region, adding support to policyholders and expanding their geographic footprint in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.
We represented Tractor Supply Company in its public offering of $650 million of 1.750% Senior Notes due 2030. Underwriters included Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Wells Fargo Securities, LLC and Regions Securities LLC.

BofA Securities served as the representative of the initial purchasers of the exchangeable notes
