Megan Smit counsels clients on corporate and securities issues with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. In addition, she represents private equity firms and portfolio companies in various transactions. Megan’s practice includes companies within the healthcare and healthcare IT, food and beverage, entertainment and technology industries, among others.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Megan was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Los Angeles, where she focused on various public and private company transactions. Megan earned a law degree from Washington University School of Law (St. Louis) and an undergraduate degree in international relations and religion from the University of Rochester.
