Shine Chen Schattgen counsels healthcare clients on a range of operational, regulatory and transactional matters related to clinical trials, physician contracts, healthcare information technology issues, mergers and acquisitions, HIPAA compliance and more. She has experience working with various healthcare institutions, including academic medical centers, hospitals and pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Shine practiced in the Boston office of Ropes & Gray LLP where she advised healthcare clients on compliance issues. Shine earned her law degree from Duke University School of Law and a B.A. in neuroscience and political science from Wellesley College.
