Dave Mayer focuses his practice on traditional estate planning, with an emphasis on tax planning aspects of trusts and estates and charitable planning. His experience includes drafting a variety of estate planning documents, preparing federal estate tax returns and gift tax returns, handling issues involving the Internal Revenue Service, and assisting clients with charitable giving, probate matters, fiduciary litigation, the creation and administration of various business entities, transfer tax planning, and the establishment of guardianships and conservatorships.
Dave earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He received a Master of Accountancy from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, engineering science and mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
Dave is a CPA and worked as a senior associate with Ernst & Young in New York prior to beginning his legal career.
