Joe Kimmet focuses his practice on the tax aspects of complex business transactions and reorganizations. He works with clients on tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and venture capital and private equity investments.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Joe practiced at Woolf, McClane, Bright, Allen & Carpenter, PLLC in Knoxville, Tennessee. Joe earned his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law where he was the valedictorian of his graduating class.
