The article details what a company should look for when researching a software vendor; how to structure a vendor contract; and what steps to take before, during and after a software conversion. If the software implementation nevertheless fails, the article advises that “[a]lthough the situation may appear hopeless, it is not—if your practice acts smartly and swiftly to recover and/or mitigate its losses.”
