Nashville, Tenn. (September 3, 2010) – Matthew M. Curley, a Member of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC, has been appointed Chair of the Executive Council of the Litigation Section of the Tennessee Bar Association for 2010-11. Curley previously served as Vice-Chair from 2009-2010. With over 900 members statewide, the Litigation Section is the largest section of the Tennessee Bar Association.

Curley focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial, securities and class action litigation and the representation of clients in connection with internal and governmental investigations. He also coordinates the firm’s participation in the pro bono representation of veterans of the United States Armed Forces in coordination with the National Veteran’s Legal Services Program’s Lawyers Serving Warriors project.

The Tennessee Bar Association’s Litigation Section provides trial attorneys with information on the most recent trends and developments in trial practice through annual seminars and its newsletter. Members also receive up-to-date information about pending legislation affecting trial practitioners.
