On the occasion of his 107th birthday, Harvard Law School profiled the life and legacy of Mr. Bass, the school’s oldest living graduate. The article chronicles his career and recounts the impact Mr. Bass had on the firm and the mentorship he provided to young attorneys. “He was known for his thoroughness,” says Bill Ozier, a member at the firm, “particularly in writing. He would revise briefs until someone had to literally take it out of his hands at the last minute to file it. He struggled for perfection always, and taught us all to do the same.”
