Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Austin Brown was appointed by Major John Cooper this month to serve a four-year term on the Board of the Metro Nashville Convention Center Authority, the entity that oversees the finances and development of the Music City Center. Austin’s appointment was confirmed by the Metro Council at its September 15 meeting.
“We are also pleased to welcome new board member Austin Brown who brings a unique set of talents, perspective and experience,” said Charles Starks, President/CEO of Music City Center said in a release.
The Convention Center Authority is tasked to plan, promote, finance, construct, acquire, renovate, equip and enlarge convention center facilities along with associated hotel accommodations; transportation infrastructure; tourist, theatre and retail business facilities; commercial offices; parking lots or garages and any and all facilities related to any of these.
